Residents and associates take pictures with the tornado backdrop at Ripley’s.

On July 20, 2018, a group of 10 residents and five associates from Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, took a trip to Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum in Branson, Missouri.

The museum features an assortment of odd items and facts, from the world’s largest toilet paper roll and the largest ball of string to shrunken heads and the world’s largest Lite Brite.

“I liked it all,” said resident Hazel Breeden. “I really liked the giant man they had and the moose on the wall that was made of snow skis.”

“The motorcycles was my favorite exhibit – how many motorcycles were made out of different things,” said resident Yvonne Graham. “My favorite one was made out of wood.”

The trip was made possible by the facility’s silent auction and spaghetti dinner fundraiser in April, which raised more than $1,000 for outings.
