On July 13, 2018, a group of 11 residents and five associates from Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, took a trip to the Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson, Missouri.
Residents enjoyed seeing exhibits of celebrities, including Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Michael Jackson.
“I loved how they had the figures dressed and clean,” said resident Pricilla Poe. “They were looking pretty neat.”
“I really liked seeing all the country singers,” shared fellow resident Marcus Parker. “It was cool.”
The trip was made possible by the facility’s silent auction and spaghetti dinner fundraiser in April, which raised more than $1,000 for outings.
“The residents had so much fun and enjoy being able to get outside the facility and go on special trips,” said Ashley Albright, activity director.
