Northwood Hills Care Center hosts Silent Auction and Spaghetti Dinner

On April 27, 2018, the activities department at Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, put on the facility’s first Silent Auction and Spaghetti Dinner.

On Oct. 13, 2017, residents from Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, participated in the annual Missouri Health Care Association Golden Age Games in Bolivar, Missouri.

Seventeen residents competed with residents from other area care centers in events such as cow milking, bingo, basketball toss, hog calling, quiz bowl, horseshoes, soccer kick, wheelchair racing, painting and group crafts....

Missouri Life Care facilities attended the 37th annual Public Administrator’s Convention in Festus, Missouri, April 25_28, 2017. Representing the Missouri facilities were Northwood Hills Care Center, Life Care Center of Brookfield, Life Care Center of Waynesville and Life Care Center of Carrollton.

The theme of the 2017 conference was Coalition of Caring. There were more than 60 vendors at the event. Life Care’s booth featured a baseball theme depicting coming together as a team.

Many people believe that when Alzheimer’s disease hits, there is nothing to be done to help their loved ones think clearly again.

However, cognitive-communication treatment can often maximize an individual’s quality of life and communication success. This was the case for Dale Lovelace, who came to Northwood Hills Care Center in Humansville, Missouri, on June 10, 2016.

2016 Bronze National Quality Award

Northwood Hills Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehab facility in Humansville, Missouri, recently received the 2016 Bronze National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.

The award honors facilities across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities. It is the first of three tiers of recognition (Bronze, Silver and Gold) by AHCA/NCAL and requires a detailed application process submitted to a board of examiners for review.
